Paneer Pakora

  • Paneer (Cottage Cheese) - 150gm

  • Besan (Gram Flour ) - 1 cup

  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp

  • Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp

  • Roasted Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp

  • Salt - To Taste

  • Water (as require)

  • Oil -  As required for frying

  • Chat Masala - 1tsp

  1. Cut paneer into 3cm square and 0.5cm thickness.

  2. To make batter, mix Besan, Turmeric powder, Chili powder, Cumin powder, Salt in a large bowl. Add little water incrementally ensuring the batter is has thick consistency without any lumps.

  3. Heat Oil in deep frying pan.

  4. Coat one piece of paneer with the batter and gently fry in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.

  5. Remove the Paneer from the pan and remove any excess oil using a paper towel.

  6. Repeat step 4 and 5 for the remaining Paneer.

  7. Sprinkle chat masala on Paneer Pakora and serve with coriander chutney.
